Day 307 All in a days work

Yard work has to be one of my least favorite things to do, so you can imagine how much fun it was to spend the day weeding, mowing, trimming and cleaning up my yard. My day had started out like a typical weekend morning, with a long walk with my friend Melissa. It all went down hill when I suggested to Tim that we need a day to get the yard in order and shockingly he obliged. He and I set out to get as much done as possible and made good progress. We must have worked for 5 hours before calling it quits and coming inside to clean up. I worked a bit longer, although Tim accused me of taking all the "fun" jobs like power washing the shed, using the blower to clean off the patio...so much fun. He forgot to mention all the fun I must have had mowing the lawn and trimming trees. By the time I came inside my entire body was feeling sore, I'm just not made for such work. I showered, but should have taken a hot bath with epson salt, put on this cute Lilly Pulitzer purple print dress as if I was going somewhere but both Tim and I opted to stay in for the night. Once again, I monopolized all the fun as I cooked us dinner and cleaned up all the dishes. The yard is looking better, although could use a day like that at least every week to look good, keeping the weeds at bay could be a full time job! Both Tim and I were happy for a quiet night at home, snuggling in early for a movie with a nightcap of water & Tylenol.
