Day 317 Paper Dolls

Rushed home to meet my friend Sarah after work, we don't see each other often enough so when we do we squeeze in as much catching up as possible. She needed a dress for an event this weekend and we should all know by now how much I love dressing people, it's like living paper dolls, so fun!!  We decided on the dress I wore day #6 in NYC and she looks absolutely stunning in it!! I'll need to figure out what I'm wearing to the same event....been watching the weather which will play a roll in what I choose. This blue and white Lilly Pulitzer striped dress was cute with a red sweater, a bit preppy but it suited my vibe for the day and fine for a night home with a friend. Sarah was so funny as she looked through my dresses, she said it was like a dress museum. I suppose I do have quite a collection and love all the different styles and stories behind each of them. I showed her a dress I haven't worn yet, it's a bit small or I'm a bit big, either way it's not working out yet. My eye's on it for the fall and I'm guessing the dress isn't going to grow so I better slim down a bit, trust me, this dress is worth it. I need to channel my inner Rocky and get my jump rope out...either that or put down the pastries. There's new studies that say Sitting is the new smoking with one in four Americans sitting more than 8 hours a day. Who knew that the future health crisis would be literally people doing nothing?! I have a little sign on my work desk that reads, "you don't get the ass you want by sitting on it" as a reminder to stand up! Rocky didn't sit all day and neither will I...not if I want into that dress. I'll be sure to keep you posted and let you know when I'm in my dream dress....but don't hold your breath, it may take a while. Meanwhile, I'll be taking a picture of Sarah and myself this weekend, can't wait to see my beautiful friend all styled as fabulous as a paper doll.
