A pretty pink
Lilly Pulitzer dress always makes the day a bit brighter! It was finally sunny and warm although could warm up a bit more for my liking. I had a great walk through
Canonchet Farm trail then lunch at
Monahan's Clam Shack, enjoyed my first lobster roll of the season...yum! Sitting by the ocean enjoying the ocean breeze while eating lobster is up there among my favorite things. The hike had been a bit buggier then anticipated, with the trail being so shaded and swampy it shouldn't have surprised me. Over the winter we forget how annoying mosquitos are! I couldn't wait to get home and shower all the itchy off. Once I changed into this pretty dress Tim and I went out for a drink at
Tavern on Main, I told Tim I was just too darn pretty to stay in all night (fortunately he didn't argue). We felt touristy sitting at the bar enjoying a leisurely cocktail on a weeknight and although we only stayed for one it still counts for a night out. This Lilly dress will be a keeper and might even make it into my suitcase for vacation. Did I mention I was once again a radio contest winner? I am entered into the same contest I was in last year, a chance to win a two year car lease. The drawing won't be until the end of the summer but I was given two round trip tickets to Block Island just for being a contestant. BI is a fun and a quick day trip and winning is always fantastic! My daughter always laughs at me for listening to my free radio .... who's laughing now?? If listening to the free radio makes me old then in this case, older is wiser. Imagine winning a brand new car for two years? That would certainly brighten any day!!
