Day 716 Pyrex Dreams Come True

The pyrex dish finally made it to its new home with Nicole....barely, after I fell in love with it. I determined before arrival that I'd keep or give it based on her reaction, her level of enthusiasm the barometer of how much she wanted it. As I walked in, carrying the tiny little, yellow, pyrex dish filled with dip, Nicole zeroed right in on it and immediately started asking me where I bought it. She peppered me with questions, where did I find it, how much did it cost, how on earth did I find it, before I finally laughed and told her it was hers. She was delighted and relieved as she quickly snatched it out of my hands to admire her precious new vintage dish as I told her the pyrex rule to never to put it in the dishwasher or the color would fade. She promised to fill it with something for every girls night so we could all enjoy its beauty but quickly added that it would live at her house forever. Thrifting as often as I do allows me the advantage of finding the best treasures, for myself and friends and I was delighted to have found the tiny treasure just in time for our gathering. Five of us gals sat for hours, catching up on everything that's happened since our last girls night a month ago. It's amazing how much can happen in a few weeks time! I was curious to see if any of them had ever booked on Airbnb and was happy to get a full review from Bethany. I'm planning a trip to Maine for my Niece's wedding in the fall, looking for a place for me and all my kids to share for the weekend. I found a house, on the water that would fit us all and is close to the venue but was a bit nervous, having never booked on the site. Bethany has had such great experiences with rentals it put my fears to rest and I booked my house right there and then. My niece has picked a destination spot for her wedding, although she's from Maine, the town she's getting married in is off the beaten path (In Maine that's something) so the nearest hotel is about 40 minutes away, our rental house a quick eight minutes away, something I'm guessing we'll be thankful for as we drive home from the wedding in the dark. As I booked the house I realized it will be the first time I've had all three of my kids with me, sleeping under one roof in over twenty years! I'll be packing lots of food and games for our weekend of fun and festivities and eager to explore the area with my kids as well as just hang out together at the house. Now that our house is booked I can return my focus to the important task of enjoying summertime and might even squeeze in another girls night or two. I'll be curious to see what Nicole makes in her new little pyrex dish for our next visit. It makes me so happy that my $8 thrift store find was able to make her pyrex dream come true. What will I find next???
