Day 899 Divine Intervention
Not the best picture, but worth straining your eyes to see my bowling score of 166!! Holy cow, I have never bowled so well and not sure I ever could again. I had a meeting at our local bowling alley and a group of us stayed to bowl a string before heading out. I expected to have fun, always do, but never expected to be the high scorer, beating everyone in my group and in the lanes on either side of us. If it sounds like I'm bragging, I am, and will be for the rest of my life! 166 will forever more be my lucky number! Bowling is always a good time, but now I know, it's even more fun when you're good. I've written in the past about how my grandfather and his friend built our bowling alley and how connected I continue to feel to the establishment, so I'll credit my Grandpa with my win, since there had to be divine intervention for such a game. My grandfathers business partner's grandson owns the alley now and when I posted the pic on social media was quick to comment how proud Grandpa with would be. In the clouds with my win, I then went on to play a round of Mahjong with a group and quickly won that game as well, I was on a roll and seemingly unbeatable. I wouldn't have expected the day to go my way after a morning of chores. I had time at home before heading to my meeting so used it to change my bedding, do laundry, dishes and decided to clean the outside ash door for the chimney. When I opened the little door, the chimney looked completely clogged, although didn't appear to be ash. I poked my little shovel inside to pull out the clump and to my surprise, it was a curled up animal, dead and frozen solid...gross! After cleaning out the carcass, I cleaned out the dirt and ash that had fallen. The image of the dead creature wasn't one I wanted in my brain and certainly not how I expected to start my day, but it seemed like a day full of surprises. Although, I much prefer a great bowling score to a dead critter any day!
