Day 1029 Farming
I'm not sure how I even stumbled upon this silly game, but here I am—farming away like a pro. Our phones have basically become portable game consoles, and more of us play than we probably care to admit. Since I wasn't feeling well, it made for a good distraction. Although, being slightly OCD (can you even be slightly OCD?), I'm not sure it's the healthiest choice for me.
I had woken up around midnight with that dreaded feeling of nausea, unsure if I’d even make it to the bathroom in time. I jumped up and rushed downstairs—one of those nights I really wished I had a bathroom upstairs. For some reason, we all do it—cover our mouths as if that will somehow delay the inevitable, thankfully the technique worked! I’m still not sure what made me so sick, but after successfully making it to the bathroom, I crawled back into bed as if I never wanted to move again.
When morning came, I wasn’t sure if I felt better, but I decided to stay home and take it easy—or as easy as I could. I started cleaning my bedroom because the idea of sleeping in “sick sheets” another night made my skin crawl. The piles of clean clothes also needed to be wrangled. I’d work for a bit, then sit and play my silly game, then rest—slowly making progress throughout the day.
By the end of it, I had fresh, clean bedding—sheets, blankets, all laundered and soft—clothes put away, and 90% of the room vacuumed. The vacuum did stop working right at the end. I’m not sure if the mess was just too much for it or if it simply needed a recharge. Fingers crossed I don’t need to buy a new vacuum!
Oh—and I only changed out of my pajamas once, when I finally showered, just to put on a clean pair. Nothing beats climbing into a fresh clean bed after a hot shower and fresh PJ"s!
It wasn’t the most relaxing sick day, but at least I ended it with a clean space, some decent rest, and a little gaming fun. Sometimes, even the smallest wins feel like victories. I even have chicken coops in my farm!
