Day 1040 Cold June Days

You wouldn't have guessed it was mid-June by the way we were bundled up to see a band. Heavy Rescue was set to play at 210 Oyster Bar, and after a chilly opening day at our beach club, we decided to go. The band was set up outside under tents, as everyone huddled beneath umbrellas to avoid the passing rain showers. It was so cold, Tim grabbed a winter hat from his car, and I threw on an extra sweatshirt under my fancy coat—less concerned with fashion and more focused on staying warm.

The band was as fun as expected, and since the weather was so miserable, we had no trouble finding a table. There's always a bright side!

Earlier in the day, Tim and I had spent the morning lollygagging around the house before diving into the major project of moving our bed. Rearranging the bedroom is always a little disorienting—sleeping in a new direction, everything temporarily out of place—and moving a large framed,  king-size bed is no small task! Thank goodness I had the wherewithal to wash all the bedding and get everything put back together before we headed out.

There’s still a bit of moving and rearranging left to do, but at least the bed is in place. The jury's still out on whether I will like the new layout, but so far, Tim seems pleased with the vibe.

Sometimes the best days are the ones that don’t go quite as planned. Cold weather, a bit of chaos, good music, and a shared laugh—what more can you really ask for?...maybe a little sunshine and a lot of warmth!
