Day 1042 weather report

This has been the rainiest spring I can remember. Hopefully, once the sun comes out to stay, the flowers will flourish from being so well-watered. Unfortunately, both Tim and I park our cars under maple trees—which makes quite a mess! I gave my car a quick wash, and wasn’t too pleased to hear more rain during the night.

We haven’t had much time out on our deck, and everyone’s talking about how many consecutive weekends in a row it has rained. If I ask Alexa, the answer is thirteen! As a true sun seeker, I’m definitely ready for a drying-out period. I feel like my blog has turned into a daily weather report, and I’m looking forward to finally sharing some sunshine.

I can’t complain too much—at least the weather cooperated for my Sunday yacht ride. A few weeks ago, I planted a tomato plant with high hopes of playing farmer again. Maybe Mother Nature is lending a hand by watering my garden for me?

This was also the first year I’ve ever planted geraniums, and I’ve got to say—I’m impressed. The bright pink blossoms are beautiful and smell amazing. This may become a yearly must-have for me. I’m a big fan of the pink-and-green color combo, so the vivid pink flowers look perfect in my green planter.

The little cat house has remained vacant; Peps might not realize it’s there just for her. I’ll keep working on getting her used to it—maybe a treat or two will help lure her inside. I’m hoping by the time winter rolls around, she’ll understand it’s a cozy spot for shelter.

Rain or shine, there’s always something growing, blooming, or in progress around here. Thanks for following along with my little corner of the world. Here’s hoping my next post features a bit more sun!
