Day 1097 Qualified

Well, guess who qualified to win a two-year car lease again this year! I've been trying for a month—calling in like a crazy person, hoping to be the fifteenth caller—with no luck… until now. I was completely surprised when the phone actually started ringing instead of giving me the usual busy signal. When they answered, I had the catchphrase ready and blurted it out—still in disbelief that I had finally gotten through and was, in fact, the fifteenth caller!

For those of you who’ve been following along, you might remember this contest from last year—and the year before. That makes this my third time qualifying! I have a friend who tries every single year and has never made it through, so color me lucky.

Just for qualifying, I won two round-trip tickets to Block Island, which is already such a fun bonus. And I’m thrilled for another shot at the grand prize. The contest takes place right in Narragansett, so it’s an easy drive and a fun way to spend a morning. This year, they're giving away a two-year lease on a brand-new Lincoln—imagine that!

So, cross your fingers, grab a lucky rock, and send some good "winning" vibes my way a week from this Saturday at 10 a.m. Tim has never come with me before—the early hour isn't really his thing—but I’ve asked him to join me this year. Who knows? He might just be my lucky charm.

No need for pricey streaming services here—I still love my free radio, the hilarious morning show banter, and trying my hand at whatever contest they’re running. I wouldn’t be surprised if the hosts even recognize me when I show up. Maybe they'll be secretly rooting for me too.
