This is What a Winning Trivia Team Looks Like!

It may have taken us all summer to win, but we finally tasted sweet victory (and no — we weren’t the only team playing!). It was the last night of trivia at GBC, and I wasn’t going to miss it for anything.

I could tell Tim didn’t really want to go, but being the good sport he is, he rallied, joined me, and gave it his all. Dinner, drinks, then squeezing knowledge from the dusty corners of our minds — shaking off the cobwebs and pulling out answers. It was just going to be the two of us, but when the table of three next to us asked to merge teams, we were happy to oblige. Clearly, more brainpower was a good thing. The other teams were full tables, so our makeshift group definitely upped the competition.

The big win was a sweet way to end the season. I keep telling Tim it’s our "last chance" to be at the beach club... followed, of course, by announcing another fun event there! I’ll be sad when the season really does end, but for now, I’m thrilled to be stretching it out as long as possible. Even on a rainy night, the beach is  a beautiful place to be.

Tim's officially off the hook for more trivia until next summer as we settle into our winter doldrums — but first, I’m sure there’s plenty of fall fun still to come. And yes, I’ll be shamelessly bragging about our trivia win all season long.
