Day 2168 Eggs & Notifications

Gotta love chickens, diligent producers even in the worst weather. They aren’t really bothered by the cold, but extreme temperatures either way can be tough. I worry about them getting enough water in the summer and keeping their water ice-free all winter. Egg production goes down when the days are shorter; they need more sunlight to produce at full speed. But since I’m still getting more than enough each day, no complaints here.
My biggest ongoing complaint has been the darn notifications on my Apple Watch. Group texts make me cringe, knowing I’ll be buzzed a hundred times throughout the day with pure nonsense. I knew how to silence notifications on my phone, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it on my watch...the struggles of being old, I suppose.
So when I had to send out a group text to my mahjong crew, I implored them all not to respond. Heather and I were laughing when she called me an asshole.... But it was either that or throw my watch out the window.
Thankfully, her son’s girlfriend had shown her how to silence the notifications, and Heather walked me through it. Now I’ll finally have peace from all the text buzzes on my wrist! It may sound silly, but until you’ve had a constant buzz on your wrist from a barrage of nonsense and emojis, don’t hate on me for hating it.
I should have asked Heather how to do it ages ago, she always figures these things out. I suppose if we can’t keep up with all the latest tech how-to’s, we’d better surround ourselves with smart friends. So cheers to Heather, once again, my friend forever… even if (or when) I’m an ass.
