Day 2197 Rosie

The endless question… what’s for dinner? It might, in fact, be the most asked question in history! With limited evening time on these cold winter nights, meal prep plans sure do make life easier. I’ve tried several plans and find them all about the same, but I seem to have settled on HelloFresh.

I have three meals a week delivered, although I often cancel weeks here and there. When I arrive home hungry, tired, and not wanting to make one more decision in life, I pull out a bag filled with everything I need, and within 30 minutes I have a delicious meal on the table for Tim and me to enjoy. It’s always more than enough food for the two of us, and we haven’t hit a recipe we didn’t like. Some we like better than others, of course, but none are bad.

I’ve made things I would have never thought of on my own, and it saves me from reading through endless cookbooks and spending time shopping for ingredients. Our meal plan is $60 for three meals, certainly cheaper than dining out, so we’ll call it saving money!

No, I’m not a sales rep for HelloFresh, (although I'm sure they'd hire me) I just like to share life’s little cheats whenever I find one. Of course, after the delicious meal, I still haven’t found a workaround for the dirty dishes… but that can be tomorrow’s problem. I was so darn tired I left them in the sink and was in my PJs and tucked into bed by 7 p.m., dreaming of next week’s time change and looking forward to a little more sunshine in my day.

I take my wins wherever I can get them, and love a simple solution to an ongoing chore. Although, I'm still disappointed we all don't have a Rosie cleaning the house like the Jetsons promised. Until she arrives, my household will never be in order!
