Birthday vibes

As I walk through my dining room each day, the birthday vibes continue to make me smile. I’m not sure how long a person is supposed to keep them up, but for now, all my cards are staying on top of my buffet, possibly for the whole month!

Not to reopen old birthday wounds, but there’s good news on the backhoe front. Tim called and scheduled a meeting with a professional to handle all of our patio backhoe work…yay! Although he still feels it would have been an easy task to learn from YouTube, I feel much better with a skilled operator in our backyard. I can just imagine returning the favor for his birthday, watching a quick tutorial on how to change the oil in his car and surprising him with that. I can see him cringe at the thought of it!

The pressure is on to get the patio completed by mid- to late May…time will tell. I’m also reserving a birthday gift for the future, one I’ll be calling in when Tim least expects it.

We’ve hardly seen each other this week. I’ve been out every night with work stuff, and our schedules just haven’t aligned. It’s funny to miss time with someone you live with. We may need to schedule an official date night, it might be the only way to make it happen.

For now, we’ll stick to the skills we actually have, leaving oil changes and backhoe work to the people who do those jobs for a living. Everyone has their own strengths, after all. And as for me, I’ll be holding onto these birthday vibes for as long as I can, because why rush a good thing?
