Does Wednesday have anyone else feeling like its Groundhog Day? I'm a gal that loves a routine and even I start to drag by midweek. Between weekday morning chores, work, dinner and dishes it's no wonder I enjoy my weekends so much! I've started making double dinners so Tim and I have fabulous lunches to pack, its kind of a great idea. I love our Hello Fresh meal plan, helps take the decision making out of what to cook for dinner each night but typically doesn't allow for leftovers. Lately I've been doubling up, figure once I'm cooking I might as well make two separate dinners, we eat one and allow the second to cool then pack it up for lunch....I know, I know #1 wife!! Not only can I cook, but did it all in this beautiful Lilly Pulitzer, Charlene, striped dress! This is one of my favorite styles so of course I have it in different colors. This particular dress was picked up at a thrift store for $5, the only thing wrong with it was a missing button on one of the front pockets, easy fix you'd think. Well, you'd be wrong, of course I can sew a button on, that's not the problem. I apparently can no longer thread a needle....lord knows I tried. Maybe the 6 needles I tried were all just too small, or maybe the thread was too large but for the life of me I couldn't do it. After fifteen brutal minutes I surrendered to wearing a dress with a missing button. I pretended all day that I just really wanted that tiny front pocket open...why not!? Not sure what's up with my non needle threading skills. It can't be due to age, my 83 year old mother can still thread a needle. Tim would say it's due to my eyelash growth serum...he's still watching for side effects. I'll be shopping for needles with bigger eyes and fixing that darn button if it's the last thing I do! I guess I'll add that to my weekday chore list.... cause that's never long enough. Don't feel badly for me, I've also added studying & planning our honeymoon trip excursions to my to do list.... and holy cow are we going to have fun!
