Day 311 Flag Day

A bit of red, white and blue is always in order for Flag Day apparel. I wore my flag pin proudly as I celebrated the day honoring our beautiful Stars and Stripes. I'm amazed how many people are unaware of this special day, maybe the reason I buy dozens of small flag pins to give out as I wish folks a Happy Flag Day. My dress, although looks like it could be black and white was certainly a dark navy and white. I wore a pretty red and white striped necklace, carried a red handbag and had my fabulous red shoes on. It was such a pretty outfit, not sure this photo does it justice. I had dressed to be ready for the workday and a night at the theatre but our show was cancelled. I received a call from Theatre by the Sea saying our show had to be cancelled due to technical difficulties. I felt so badly for them, having to contact everyone, reschedule all of our tickets, ugh, what a nightmare for them. I'm sure they will be back up and running soon and I can't wait to see the show. This is the show, Beautiful, that I've apologized to Tim ahead of time for the amount of singing I will no doubt be doing throughout the performance. I can't wait! I'm surprised the vinyl didn't wear out on my Carol King Tapestry album I played it so much....and yes, had it on vinyl. Oh, how I loved 1970's, the music, the fashion, sunbathing with baby oil, Jr. High School, hanging out with my best friend Libby, great times! I'll have to reschedule our theatre tickets soon, can't wait. Instead of dinner out and theatre, Tim and I stayed in, I cooked dinner and we used our home time wisely reviewing the excursions for our trip. We finally made our selections and in the end, we agreed on all of them, or were willing to compromise for each others wishes...sign of true love right there. I won't wish the summer away but I really can't wait to spend two weeks away with my love. Imagine how much fun we'll have with nothing but adventure, entertainment and indulgence to fill our days! One thing I'll be sure to pack is my American Flag pin, as I'll wear it proudly into every country I visit.
