Day 318 Pause

Love this Julie Brown Shift dress, comfortable and has pockets! Don't be fooled by the sleeveless dress into thinking the weather has warmed up. The temps are struggling to get into the 70's but not quite making it. Tim and I had a quiet night at home, he read news stories to me while I cooked dinner. The big news is the submersible that's lost with five people inside it. It set off for a four hour trip to view the wreckage of the Titanic and hasn't been seen since, that was five days ago!! You couldn't pay me enough to go down into a submarine, these folks paid up to a quarter of a million dollars for the experience. Sadly there's even a nineteen year old boy among them. Somehow his young age does make it worse...way too young to die. It's sad, sad news, not Tims usual animal behavior stories. We shifted conversation before dinner to the clear handbag I bought for upcoming concerts and the new canoe seats Tim bought for our next river adventure. Life goes on, even in the midst of tragedy. It doesn't always seem fair that it does, when tragedy hits it would be nice if the universe gave us a moment to catch our breath, but it doesn't. They say these moments make us stronger...not sure if that's true or not but if it is, I'm plenty strong enough thank you. Prayers today for the families of the missing people on the submarine. The world may not stop but people around the world will pause for a moment today to think of them and what a tragic loss it is...and that's something. I'm going to have to ask Tim how that pod of gorillas he's been following are doing.....
