Day 441 Lazy Lounge About
Another day of rest, relaxation and home cooking. I am bound to feel better after days of rest, either that or I'll just become a lazy lounge about. I chipped away at a few chores, got some laundry done and accomplished minimal tasks around the house. I would say I was the laziest person on the planet, but Tim was right there with me and may have me beat. I made us a fabulous lunch, thinking home cooked meals would have to help rejuvenate us. I amazed myself by showering and getting dressed to run a couple errands, almost a go getter for a short period of the afternoon. We were clearly gone long enough for the wildlife to start coming into our yard, feeling unthreatened by the stillness. Tim and I saw this fox coming towards our chicken coop at dusk, like he owned the place. Tim ran outside to scare him off and I was able to snap this photo through the window, poor quality but it's the best I could do. The fox was impressively large and healthy looking, not sure what he's been eating but no doubt my chickens looked like a great meal to him. Let's hope Tims presence deters him from coming back, but I'm not counting on it. I often wonder how many predators we miss while we're away from home? I'm also a bit surprised that being right in the middle of a busy town there's so much wildlife on the move. A few errands and fox sighting was all the excitement I could handle for a day and I was off to bed by 7pm without apology. I'm bound to be back to my functioning self soon enough, all this sleep has to be helping!? Tim and I had plans to go out for a fancy Sunday brunch but the day at home turned out to be exactly what we both needed. Not my usual self but I can see me mastering the lazy lounge about lifestyle, at least for another day or two.
