Day 596 Better Late than Never

Off my morning routine, so sneaking in an uncharacteristically late blog. A few updates, those darn brass sconces weren't good enough for the HOA, either that or they just changed the required fixtures and have everyone replacing them. When my son and I headed out for his doctors appointment we carefully inspected all the neighbors fixtures and determined that they were all brand new. He was clearly not the only one getting a notice, ugh. His appointment went well, the hematologist was great, answered all his questions and made us both feel a bit better. The doctor wants him to see a vascular specialist so he'll add that in-between the  MRI for the Ortho and other appointments. The good news is, he's feeling much better, less pain and even able to sit up and play board games. Spring is clearly in the air, although still a bit cold, I love seeing all the flowers in bloom. News from the Homefront wasn't good, Tim reported that we lost a chicken. He's not sure how it died, just came home to find it laying there with no signs of trauma. I know chickens die, but it's really crazy that every single time I go away, at least one dies! Poor Tim had to add burying a chicken to his long list of chores. He's ready to have me home! His initial thoughts were to have me come home to a clean house, but he's lower his standards, now just hoping I can come home to a messy house and live pets, fingers crossed. I'm sure it's good for him to tackle things on his own, gives him a small idea of how much I do. My routine hasn't traveled well, I've been focused on my boy so will have to get back in the swing of things when I get back to RI. Hopefully I'll bring a touch of spring home with me, wish I could wrap my son up and bring him home along with the sunshine!
