Day 653 Karma

Back to the 80's, can't help myself. I received calls and texts asking me who Tim we were suppose to be, as if we were in costume!? It never entered my mind to put a costume on for an 80's party, why would I? Tim rocked a mullet wig, reliving his long haired vibe in the 80's and I couldn't wait to wear my puffy coat and dress with big shoulders. I enjoyed the folks who sported costumes, assuming they must have been too young in the 80's to appreciate the fashion. Once again, the music was incredible! I will admit, after dancing all night in super high heels, my legs felt it the next day. My legs are use to being maxed out, but usually not in 5" heels. I've been hesitant to write about the step challenge, discouraged, disappointed and disheartened by the final results but here goes. I was tracking to be 3rd or 4th until the very last few days, when someone came in out of no where and took 1st place, bumping me into 5th. This person wasn't on the leaderboard at all until May 1st, with the challenge ending on the 10th. After a month of never being on the leaderboard, in those last ten days they entered (clearly manually) 748,485.00 steps.....all while their pants were on fire no doubt! The person who should have taken 1st was robbed and bumped down to second and the entire competition turned into a joke, although not in the least bit funny. I have always told my kids that life isn't fair, so I reminded myself of this as I tried not to steam with frustration. The thought of Karma helped, the person that "won" first received a $100 gift card to amazon, I envision they will buy a fancy lounge chair to rest on their laurels and one day the chair will break, they will land on their ass and curse at the world for their broken butt.... never realizing it was only karma, finally coming in to give them the kick in the ass they deserved. Might sound mean, but it helps.....it's either that or their pants will actually catch on fire as the riddle goes, either way, I put my faith in karma as I'm sure, good or bad it always comes back to us. The step challenge final results may have been frustrating but the proof of all my steps and my prize appears to be in my fabulously fit legs, I'll take it!
