Day 663 Some Assembly Required
When I ordered my new outdoor sectional I envisioned it arriving ready to go. Much to my chagrin, two large boxes arrived filled with dozens of pieces requiring hours of assembly. I looked at the directions, the pieces, parts and hardware, sat down and called it a night. Waking up to a new day the task, appeared less daunting and in the morning sunshine anything seemed possible. I called my mother, who happens to be a wizard at assembling anything and when she arrived I knew we could build it successfully, her directing the pieces into the correct spots and me, securing all the hardware. I didn't time how long it took us, but I'd guess we had that couch built within an hour, along with the little coffee table. It fits perfectly in its spot and is exactly what I wanted, I was tinkled pink with the final results. Apparently the words, "some assembly required" were lost on me when ordering this piece, the word "some" being under emphasized. Most great things don't come easy, but wouldn't it be nice if they did?! One thing that was easy is my new online grocery shopping. Walmart has a delivery service and recently came out with a deal, free delivery for a year with subscription with no minimum order....don't mind if I do. The service even delivers the same day! I may never go to the market again! Sure, the bananas are greener than I'd choose but I'll deal with that easier than spending hours of my life shopping. Whoever walks around the store, selecting all my items then drives them straight to my front door is my new hero....thank you! What makes this service better than Peapod, aside from the cost and speed of service, is the fact that I can order items other than food, houseware, hardware...the options are endless. I love it when life hands you a service that makes life easier and free's up precious time. Now they just need to figure a way to send me my couch with no assembly required! Beam it up Scottie.
