Day 705 Wasted Time

Another Friday night at the beach, winding down, catching up with friends and cheering to the start of another weekend. It sure would be nice if the weekend were a smidge longer, between household chores  and having fun, I struggle to maximize every minute. I smartly ordered groceries to be delivered first thing in the morning...one task easily outsourced. The Walmart service I signed up for has been working out very well for me. Free delivery with no minimum charge has been a game changer and groceries brought to my door, don't mind if I do. I now spend about five minutes putting together my order, as opposed to the typical one hour spent in the store. Time is our most precious commodity, maximizing its use just makes good sense. To get to the beach club after a long day had me hustling but I was eager to make it happen.  I arrived home, dropped my bags, cooked up a delicious appetizer and we were off. I didn't even unpack my new beach chair, I found thrifting. I could't resist picking it up, I had just seen the identical chair in the store selling for $50 and here it was for $7.99. I snagged it quickly and when I finally sat in it to check it out I reached into the side pocket and pulled out $1, a nice little tip for my rescuing efforts. I also found the cutest little yellow Pyrex baking dish with a glass lid. My friend Nicole has been dying to own a Pyrex dish but doesn't thrift shop so not sure she'd ever own one. We're having a girls night at her house in a couple weeks so I plan on making a dip or something in the little dish then surprising her with it. She better hope I don't fall in love with it within the next few weeks!! I've also been working on gifts for my beach club friends, will finally be gifting them this Monday when we meet for dinner.... it's a silly little project but I've had fun with it and think they will all be thrilled to receive their prizes. I'm hoping the weather improves for a beach day, one rainy day to get my chores done and a sunny day for accomplishing nothing. Time is precious, I plan on wasting it wisely and there's no better way than sitting on the beach. After all, the weekend will be gone in a flash!
