Day 805 Plans in the Making
October might just be my favorite month for a crisp morning walk. Ok, I haven't seen a day I don't appreciate a good walk, but October is as close to perfect as I could wish for. Melissa came over early and we were off, coat or no coat the only question on our minds. We opted for jackets, although could have easily gone with just sweatshirts, the air was cool but felt refreshing as we walked, chatting away. She loved my idea for a reunion with our childhood friends, we even added the Brown and Moffitt kids to the event and selected who's house it should be at, sure Kady, will love the idea as well and be thrilled to have it at her house. She's the youngest of the kids and built a house in RI a couple years ago, right on the ocean. She only visits occasionally, since she still lives and works in DC. I'm sure she'll be agreeable to hear she's hosting our event and I'll rely on her to reel in her siblings while I work on the rest. Missy and I had fun planning our future gathering, thinking of how fun it would be to have everyone together, or as many of us as we can hoodwink into coming. Not much beats a morning walk to get ideas flowing and appreciation for the gloriousness of the world around me. Once home, Tim and I booked our flights for our winter vacation and searched for a hotel in Miami close to the cruise port. He has a way of finding the least expensive hotel, but in the best areas, so I put my faith in him for hotel bookings. We'll be flying in the day before our cruise and will have one evening to whoop it up in Miami, a city I've yet to explore. I've driven through on my way to the Keys but have never spent any time in the seaside city, so it will be exciting to explore. Two of our cruise friends will also be there, staying at another hotel but I'm sure we'll connect for dinner and be ready for boarding our ship bright and early. All in all, it was a day of planning, with great fun on the horizon, just the way I like it.
