Day 809 Miami
As much of a RI gal as I am, my morning run is now set on the Miami Boardwalk. Booking a vacation for the heart of the winter was one of the best things I've done this fall. I've never been to Miami, only driven through so I'm excited for a bit of exploration before we get on our cruise. I wonder if I'll recognize a few places from my virtual run videos, wouldn't that be fun? If nothing else, it gives me a focus while I run my two miles each morning, waiting for it to get easier. My morning routine is always finished before the sun comes up, so the bright Miami sunshine is a welcome vision as I trot along. I tried out my new sneakers, the Hoka brand and the jury is still out. I liked them just fine, but still not sure they beat my On Clouds, time will tell. One thing for sure, the cost of sneakers is through the roof, crazy prices for a running shoes...although, prices for everything have gone a bit wacky. Time to brush up on my extreme couponing skills and get back at it. The couponing game takes quite a bit of time and brain power but the results in savings are amazing. I often make a game of it, see how much I can buy for under $20...not everyone's kind of fun but I enjoy the challenge and the spoils of my efforts. For now, my Miami Board Walk virtual run is enough of a daily challenge to keep me on my toes. I will sprinkle in a bit of couponing on the weekends, tweaking my skills to keep from losing them but there's only so much I can squeeze into each day. I'll be studying my Miami run, eager to walk the same path this winter and feel the warm sunshine as my virtual running path becomes my reality.
