No, as a matter of fact, I can't wait! When a package arrived from my friend, I immediately lied, telling myself I'd just open the box to reveal the wrapped gift. Once the beautifully wrapped gift was in front of me, it took about three seconds to decide a quick peek couldn't hurt....the quick peek quickly turned into a full blown unwrap until the box was wide open, displaying my fabulous gifts. A beautiful pair of red PJ's, perfect for Christmas morning, a Kate Spade wallet..just what I've been wanting, a cute little beaded bag and a fabulous pearl necklace with my name in gold, right in the center. OK, so maybe I should have waited for Christmas day, but waiting for anything has never been one of my strengths. I immediately put on my necklace, threw the PJ's into the wash and will be filling my new wallet first thing in the morning. Tim and I met friends for dinner so my new necklace was perfect for a night out. Spur of the moment dinner plans for eight came together almost as quickly as I had opened my gift. A few quick texts at the end of the day and plans were set with short time to get home, open my mail, change and get back out the door. Everyone arrived at the restaurant excited to see one another and eager for a much needed night out. A gathering with friends was just what we all needed, good food, lots of laughs and for me, a bedtime after 9pm, perfect for shaking off the winter doldrums. Dinner was great but goodbyes quick, Stepping outside into the cold, dark night, the smell of snow surrounded us as we all jumped into our cold cars, making for fast to nonexistent goodbye's. With only a couple weeks left before Christmas, the festivities will be rolling in, along with another gift or two. I can't wait for more gatherings and as for the gifts, maybe I'll save the next one for Christmas morning.....maybe.
