Day 862 Fortune Mix Up?

Your health will improve in November!? Not exactly the best fortune cookie to crack open and read mid December. As far as I know, I'm feeling fine, does this mean I'll feel even better next year? So many questions popping up from one mysterious piece of paper. Tim cracked open his fortune and proudly read, "count your blessings, for your luck is your strength". Of course, he immediately thought of his card playing luck and how blessed his is to have won his card league, missing a prime opportunity to throw some love my way but equally not surprising.  I would love to think our fortunes were crossed, but who am I to argue with the powers of fortune cookies? Fortunes aside, we had a wonderful Monday night date and delicious meal. We had originally planned on going to a Japanese Restaurant but when we drove into the parking lot we were shocked to see it was packed. We hadn't expected to find anywhere so busy on a cold, rainy, Monday at 5pm. go figure? We opted to leave rather than wait for a seat and quickly agreed on the Chinese Restaurant down the street where we quickly found two seats at the bar and were handed menus within minutes. One after another, folks walked in to either pick up take out or sit at the bar and one after one either Tim or I knew each and every person. It became a game quite quickly as we'd watch the door then say our hello's to the person proudly pegging one for our side if we called it. After a while the game became silly, like shooting fish in a barrel, gotta love small town living. Not that we were keeping score (yeah right) but if we were, I would have won by a landslide. We had such a good time and enjoyed the food so much that we might just be back at that bar again very soon...after all, I might need another fortune cookie for a second opinion. At least it didn't say my health would be worse...silver lining I suppose.
