Day 883 Hail Mary Trip Gifts

With vacation on my mind, why not look back at the wonderful memories of vacations past? Christmas 2011 must have snuck up on Tim quickly so with no time left to shop, it was off to Vegas for us! Christmas morning I opened a handmade card with trip plans, as if he had spent weeks planning it all,  A week later we were packed up and on our way to sin city. Whatever the happenstance was that got us there, I"m glad for it. Vegas has some of the most amazing hotels, beautiful water fountains and decorations galore. We caught the Beatles, Love show, checked out dozens of hotels and walked miles trying to see everything. Tim and I have always enjoyed exploring the world together, thankfully, we make good travel partners. At home we become set in our ways, but on vacation we both tend to be more flexible, each wanting the other to have the best time possible. On the daily, I wouldn't consider myself a spoiled wife, but while on vacation Tim goes out of his way to shower me with amazing experiences. We both love to explore places off the beaten path, equally enjoy lounging in the sunshine and dancing the night away. The only time we come to an impasse is fine dining, I love it and he would rather belly up to a bar. We have learned to appreciate each dining experience and end up with a mix of casual to formal dining. Vacations are also the only time we ever go out to breakfast and although he'll tell everyone within earshot that he doesn't like eggs, I enjoy each morning's meal. Tim may not always shop in a timely manner for holidays, but his Hail Mary trip gifts aren't anything to sneeze at. Packing for trips is another story, no flexibility there. Timothy demands his own suitcase, while I would be happy to share one. He packs his own suitcase but then throughout each trip will ask if "we" brought certain items, suntan lotion, phone chargers or some random toiletry item. Lucky for him, I try and foresee each of our travel needs and pack it all in my suitcase. I'm not sure what adventures await us in 2025 but we'll be off to a good start with a Caribbean cruise planned with friends for February. Las Vegas might be worth revisiting..... but top of my list would be a trip to Disney (Tim hates this idea and I love it) and a visit to Canada to see the Bay of Fundy.
