Day 987 Spring Plans & Chaos
Easter has come and gone, leaving candy wrappers and empty eggs scattered throughout the house. It's amazing how fast time flies—gearing up for holidays and then watching them pass in a flash. Next up: Mother's Day. No wonder I love springtime so much!
Right now, I'm working on getting the house back in order—at least presentable—but with a packed schedule, it's not easy finding the time for housework. It seems like every weekend for the next two months is booked solid with events. Not that I’m complaining! Once the weather starts to warm up, we try to squeeze every last minute out of the sunny days.
And when beach weather finally hits? That’s where you’ll find me—sunglasses on, toes in the sand, letting the rest of the world spin while I soak up the sunshine. Spring always feels like the start of something new, and I’m here for all of it: the chaos, the celebrations, the fresh air, and the freedom.
…And while the to-do lists may be growing just as fast as the flowers in the yard, there's something energizing about this time of year that makes even the busy moments feel brighter. Maybe it's the smell of cut grass or the way the breeze carries hints of blooming flowers and possibility and optimism—but whatever it is, spring has a way of breathing life back into our routines.
So even if my living room looks like a confetti cannon of pastel foil and plastic eggs exploded, I’ll take it. These are the memories we’ll remember: the sugar highs, the impromptu backyard picnics, the laughter echoing through open windows. It's close to perfection!
As we look ahead to Mother’s Day and all the other milestones this season brings, I’m holding onto this mindset: embrace the mess, chase the sun, and make space for joy wherever you can.
Here’s to blooming where we're planted.
