Day 1026 New Bling
I’m a sucker for new technology, so it was about time I tried out the latest fitness-tracking ring! I wear my Apple Watch every day to track my step count and answer calls like I’m James Bond, but when I dress up, it ruins the vibe. I also don’t love wearing it at the beach or while sleeping, so the ring seemed like a great alternative.
Since Apple hasn’t released one yet, there are plenty of options on the market with a wide range of prices. After doing a fair bit of research, I found that the cost doesn’t necessarily affect the ratings or features—you can spend up to $350 or find something much cheaper. Naturally, I spotted one on sale for $19.99 and snatched it up in a flash.
After tracking it through what felt like every warehouse in California, it finally arrived. Following a quick two-hour charge and a simple app download, I was ready to go! One obvious difference: the Apple Watch gives you a quick glance at your stats, while the ring requires opening the app to see the data. Still, I was really curious to track my sleep patterns—something I’ve never done since I don’t wear the Apple Watch at night.
One night in and... yikes. No wonder I’m always yawning! I logged just 4 hours and 55 minutes of sleep, with only 1 hour and 47 minutes of deep sleep. Definitely not ideal. Now, I’m challenging myself not only to hit my step goals but also to improve my sleep habits.
The jury’s still out on the ring since it’s brand new, but so far, it's been comfortable and easy to wear—even while doing dishes and sleeping. I’m looking forward to seeing how it holds up over time and whether it becomes part of my daily routine. For now, it’s an affordable and fun experiment in the world of wearable tech. Let’s see if this little ring can keep up with my lifestyle.
