Day 1067 Sandy Toes

TFIG... Beach Vibes and Sandy Toes!

I rushed home to gather a few things and head out to the beach club. We met up with friends at GHBC for appetizers and to decompress from the busy week. The deck was relaxing, and once all my friends arrived, it made all my scurrying completely worth it—even though we couldn’t stay long. We were eager to catch the band at GBC, trying to enjoy the best of both worlds!

GBC was buzzing. The music was fantastic, and the beach was filled with families dancing and soaking up the summer night. The occasional whiff of smoke from nearby fire pits drifted through the air—one of those sweet, signature scents of summer. It was the perfect evening for beachside music, dancing in the sand, and celebrating with friends.

Dancing in the sand looks fun, but in reality, it’s a bit of a challenge! I tried to keep my feet mostly in place, twisting them into the sand to carve out my own little dance space. Pretty sure my legs got a serious workout—but I wouldn’t trade that sandy dance floor for a wooden one.

The band, Purple Honey, was amazing! They played lots of old-school hits—just the way we “old folks” like them—and had everyone on their feet by the end of the night. I’m not sure how late they played, but Tim and I didn’t make it home until after 11 p.m. We’re firm believers in never leaving before the last song plays.

I was especially excited that my best beach club friend, Donna, joined us for the night—hopping from GHBC club to GBC as a guest. Summer has just begun, but I’m already loving the dual beach club experience and all the weekend options at my fingertips.

Here’s to more nights filled with great music, great friends, and the kind of beachside magic you never want to end. Summertime...I love you.
