Day 1071 Birthday Wishes!

One unforgettable night celebrating my mom on her 86th birthday.

Imagine living to be 86 years old??? I suppose just living a long time isn’t what really counts—it’s living that long while still having your wits about you and enjoying good health. Luckily for her, she has both.

We had a fabulous dinner at Galilee Beach Club, followed by an evening full of fantastic music, a beautiful sunset, and even surprise fireworks—a perfect summer night! We kicked off our shoes and danced in the sand while the band gave my mom a birthday shoutout.

After dinner, I ordered us each an espresso martini—my mom’s first ever, but I’m sure it won’t be her last. I love the idea of still trying new things at her age—or really, at any age. I figured we might need a little caffeine to keep the party going, and it was the right call since we kept her out until at least 11 p.m.!

I also loved that she and I ended up wearing dresses in similar color tones—would have hated to clash. It was her first visit to GBC and she loved everything about it. I’ll definitely have to bring her back again when things are a little less hectic.

I had invited my group of pals from Green Hill Beach Club, making for a full table of nine for dinner and a fun crew to dance and celebrate with all night. Friday nights can be tough after a long week, but when fun like this is waiting, there’s just no time to be tired.

Here’s to fun nights, great friends, amazing music—and fabulous genetics!

A night like this reminds me how special it is to create memories with the people we love. Cheers to celebrating life at every age and soaking in every joyful moment along the way.
