Day 1091 Music, Sand, Summer Fun

Another fantastic night at Galilee Beach Club—live music, a beach full of local friends, and dancing the night away under the stars. Everywhere I turned, I saw another friend, a former dance student, or an old high school classmate. I love everything about our new club, and Tim would have to agree—it has added so much joy to our weekend lineup! It lets us experience summer the way it’s meant to be enjoyed: with endless beach parties, coming home sandy, and carrying the scent of smoke from fire pits on our clothes. Just fantastic.

By now, everyone knows how much I adore people—gathering friends as if they were beach glass, treasuring each one for their uniqueness, and delighting in their smiles and hugs. I’m far from an introvert; I could bask in silly conversations every day and be perfectly content.

I really needed the night out. Home is still too quiet without my Peps. Tim has already started browsing for local cats up for adoption, but I don’t want just any cat—I want my Peps. I told him if he brought one home, I’d name it “Not Peps.” Clearly, I’m not ready. I saw a bunny in the yard recently, and that moment sealed it—Peps is truly gone. Bunnies wouldn’t dare enter our yard if she were still around.

So, with home feeling a little too sad right now, I think I’ll be living at the beach for a while. Darn pets—for such little creatures, they sure carve out an enormous space in our hearts.

Here's to more nights under the stars, more laughter, more music, and slowly finding joy again in unexpected places. Summer has a way of helping us heal, one wave at a time.
