Day 1120 Mums & Nostalgia

It’s that time of year... mums, pumpkins, and everything fall-ish. I’m not one to rush summer out the door, but I must admit—I’ve already put up a few Halloween decorations and bought several mums. I also spent the entire day fall cleaning.

I love how there's spring and fall cleaning, but no one ever mentions summer or winter cleaning. Too busy in the summer and in deep hibernation all winter. But nothing inspires a mad dash to clean the house like hosting a party. Honestly, I should probably plan one every month just to keep things tidy!

I’ve got something planned for next month, but when I look at the calendar, it’s chock-full of events from now right up to the day before....am I crazy?  I better get everything in order soon, or my company will be walking straight into the chaos!

My daughter and I are planning a baby shower for Bridie. Although, when it's your third baby, it’s technically called a "sprinkle." I hate the name but love the sentiment! Shower or Sprinkle, no surprises necessary—just the love and support...and maybe a new outfit or two for baby.

We decided to go old school and host a luncheon at home—back to the day all baby showers were held at home, I'm not exactly sure when it shifted but less and less parties are hosted at home. It’ll be more intimate, and no one will be rushing us to wrap things up...not sure if that will be good or bad?!

Not only is it Bridie’s third baby, but her third boy! So exciting. Timmy will be moving up the ranks to "middle child" and giving up his title as the youngest this November.

Tim and I are beyond excited to welcome our sixth grandchild... though we’re still wondering how we got old enough for that. Seriously—where did they all come from!?

So, the mums are in, the house will be festive for my girls' gathering, and soon, baby will be showered with love.

Fall has a way of stirring up nostalgia, warmth, and celebration—and I’m here for every moment of it. Let the season of cozy chaos begin!
