Day 1128 My forever wedding date

Weddings are always special, but this one was especially sweet for me to attend. Tory and Dan were married in the most beautiful woodland setting in Connecticut. As we traveled to their wedding, we found ourselves driving for miles, deeper and deeper into the woods, until we finally arrived at a breathtaking 200-acre farm.

I wouldn't have missed this wedding for anything. Having watched Tory grow up and being lucky enough to still be so close with her—she's almost like another child to me! I've written about her many times, so you may already know that I met Tory when she was just three years old in my dance class. She later became my little dance assistant, then my employee, and ultimately one of my dearest friends.

Seeing her on her wedding day brought me so much joy. Dan is perfect for her—and thankfully, he knows just how lucky he is to have her! Way back when Tory first started dancing, her mom became close with a couple of other dance moms, and the four of us formed lifelong friendships. We rejoiced in the fact that, 26 years later, we’re still friends.

One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Dan had a special dance with his grandmother—something I truly hope I live long enough to do with my grandsons one day.

The wedding was perfect in every way: delicious food, great music, an unbelievable setting—but most of all, the couple themselves. Everyone there could feel how deeply Tory and Dan love, respect, and support each other. They're clearly beginning a life together filled with joy, laughter, and true partnership.

I’ve intentionally held off on sharing a photo of Tory on her wedding day—that’s for her to share first. But once she does, I’ll be sure to post one! Oh, how I love that girl, and I can’t wait to watch her beautiful life unfold.

Tim and I also love attending weddings together. Each one reminds us how lucky we are to have each other—my forever wedding date.

Celebrating love like this never gets old (even if we do), and this one will stay in my heart for a very long time. Cheers to Tory and Dan!!
