Day 1158 Travel Prep

 

So much to do before I head out for my trip! Groceries were delivered, leaving Tim well stocked with his favorite frozen pizza, sweet treats, and a cooked chicken. Oh, and then there’s packing, of course… somehow that always waits until the very last minute—this trip is no exception.

I FaceTimed with Dawn to look through the clothes I keep at her house. I’m always so thankful when I see what I’ve left there. I have a great pair of shoes, several dresses, shorts, flip-flops, sneakers, and of course, a bathing suit. All of that makes packing so much easier!

However, she did tell me we’ll be going into Palm Beach for dinner at Henry’s… inside The Breakers. So I should travel in dinner garb—easy, right!? I’ll be climbing aboard my cheap Breeze Airways flight dressed for Palm Beach… oh boy. I’m still debating whether I should pack a dress and change at the airport once I arrive in Florida. So many decisions!

Nothing like a little contrast in life to keep things interesting. I’ll spend the morning in my chicken coop, cleaning up their mess and making sure they’re well stocked with food and water. Then I’ll head to the airport, land in sunny Florida, get picked up in a Rolls-Royce, and head straight to Palm Beach for dinner. A slight change of pace, to say the least.

I’m super excited for a few days visiting with Dawn. Even though we talk on the phone and FaceTime daily, nothing beats a great face-to-face visit.

Now, if I could just get that darn suitcase packed…
