Day 1164 Shifting Gears

 

As we move into fall, I’m shifting gears back into full-on Halloween and party prep mode! Honestly, I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to get everything on my plate finished... but somehow, it always comes together in the end. The next few days are packed — limited time, a house that needs cleaning, food to prepare, and decorations to pull together. No big deal, right?

Tim has promised to help, always with the best intentions. He even told me he had a dream about helping me clean and asked if that counted, it’s a good thing I find him so funny! I’ll be assigning him a few tasks; he’s always bragged about being the better vacuumer, so that one’s officially his job.

Meanwhile, he’s been busy perfecting his Halloween costume and can’t wait for the parties, while I’m over here with zero clue what I’ll be. Knowing me, I’ll end up throwing something together an hour before we head out. Tim loves Halloween, since it’s right before his birthday, he considers it his personal celebration. I suppose I’d better step up my game....but not outdo his efforts. 

So much for all that lounging in the Florida sunshine! Real life keeps me on my toes with a calendar full of events, chores, and festive chaos. I guess the yin and yang keep me balanced — too much relaxation probably wouldn’t be good for me anyway… or would it?

Either way, I’m diving into the season headfirst...pumpkins, parties, and all. Here’s to embracing the busy, the festive, and the fun that comes with fall. Now, if only I could find that perfect costume and a little extra time in the day! 🎃🍂
