Day 1165 Lunatic

 

Knock, knock.
Who’s there? Orange. Orange Who? 

Orange you gonna love your new phone?

Well, I’ll say this... I couldn’t have been happier that Tim went ahead and ordered me the latest and greatest phone while I was away. It was delivered by UPS last night, and I was like a kid on Christmas morning as I tore open the package... revealing a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro.....in bright “Cosmic Orange”!

Wait… what??? What kind of lunatic orders orange?? That would be my man. Yet somehow, he managed to order himself the classy, subdued navy blue model. My mind immediately envisioned the sleekness of a silver phone, and if wishes could change colors, that orange beauty would have melted into silver in a flash.

I suppose it might match an outfit a couple of times a year... ugh. I laid in bed wondering how much of that bright orange will actually be visible once I put it in a case. Concealing my fancy new phone for the next several years might just become my new mission. Clearly, this is a first-world problem — no one’s crying over my dilemma. But the struggle is real. Maybe Tim wanted me to think of him each and every time I reach for my phone...if so, brilliant plan....mission accomplished. It does make me laugh, like a lunatic! 

Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to the T-Mobile store to see what I can do. Can I trade it for a silver one? Can Tim and I switch phones? Honestly, out of the two of us, he’s the one who needs a safety-orange phone, since he's been known to lose his now and again.  Or am I destined to carry this neon beacon for the next several years?

One thing’s for sure... if I’m stuck with this bright orange phone, I’ll be rocking the fanciest cases you’ve ever seen. 

Until then, wish me luck... may the color gods of tech (and Tim) have mercy on my next upgrade!
