Day 1170 Royal Mess

 

After-Party Glow...

“I’ll get to that” seems to be my motto these days. You’d think that kicking balloons out of my way as I walk through the dining room would inspire me to grab a pair of scissors, pop them all, and clean up a bit... well, think again. I’ve still got dishes in the sink, baby shower decorations hanging, a dining room table covered in plates and cups, and now a floor full of balloons. What I don’t seem to have is much free time!

Okay, I know—it’s mostly (okay, entirely) my own fault. I was the one galavanting around Boston, and then choosing to climb straight into my cozy bed early the next night. But..somehow, I don’t think all that mess will matter one bit a week from now (maybe two).

With Tim’s birthday coming up, maybe I can repurpose the balloons for his big day—not a bad idea! I’m not quite sure how we’ll celebrate yet; I’ve been tossing out ideas, but so far, we haven’t landed on one. Tim suggested being treated like a king for the day—no surprise there. He says I can bring him tea and wait on him all day. I’m not really sure how that’s different from his regular routine... And since when does he drink tea? 

I, on the other hand, could definitely use the staff of a king to help me get things done around here. I’m also pretty excited about a “day off” coming up soon—even if it’s just to finally get my implant finished. I’ll take what I can get!

 After all, the mess can wait....as long as I clean up this royal mess before my kings coronation! 

As Queen Elizabeth II once said, “It’s worth remembering that it is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change.” Maybe I'll pop a balloon or two, baby steps!
